Off the Beaten Track While New Zealand’s cities are wonderful destinations in their own right with museums, art galleries and theatres, plus shops of all types ranging from departmental stores to boutique clothing and arts and crafts outlets plus a wide choice of eating and drinking establishments and local tours; it not the cities that attract most visitors to New Zealand. Rather it is the opportunity to see some of nature’s finest handiwork and enjoy the traditional Maori culture and friendly people that inhabit the 3 main islands of New Zealand – the North Island, South Island and the much smaller and sparsely populated Stewart Island This tour program has been designed to provide you with the opportunity to “Get off the Beaten Track” and visit places and do some things not offered in other standard tour programmes. We have gone looking for different and interesting experiences of the type you can’t often do on a “regular tour” – though we can provide those experiences too if you want. What we are offering here is a series of modules that can be taken individually or combined to provide you with an extensive and comprehensive tour of this beautiful country. All “Off the Beaten Track” programs are customized – so we can extend any tour – or change it to suit your specific requirements for example for different accommodations, for your special interests such as for birding, day hikes etc Among the modules offered here which we especially want to draw your attention to is our East Coast module which provides the rare opportunity for tourists to actually stay on a Marae (Maori Village) in the company of a top Maori guide. Unique, different an “Off the Beaten Track” experience!! |
